"Meetinghouse" Giclee Canvas Prints - UNFRAMED
The Meetinghouse is the second of my Westtown School, Westtown PA painting series. Although the original painting has sold, I am offering these lovely canvas prints for all to enjoy.
The Meetinghouse is the cornerstone of the Quaker religion. It is a very plain building with no interior ornamentation other than whitewashed walls and wooden benches facing one another. There are no clergy or leaders, all who enter are equal. If anyone feels moved they may stand and speak, otherwise the congregation sits in silence. The quiet simplicity of Quaker meeting can be quite profound.
It was my hope to capture dramatic sunlight in this painting, as "The Light" in Quakerism refers to divine inner illumination and guidance.
These are not your typical, on-demand canvas prints, they are true giclée, a highly sophisticated print on the best quality canvas. The highest quality printers and archival inks are used for superior color saturation and image detail. I love being able to see the texture of the canvas (vs. a traditional paper print) as it looks the most like an original painting.
The canvas prints are on 3/4" stretched canvas with wood stretchers. They are unframed, wired and ready to hang.
